Domino's Pizza Cronulla

Poor customer service. Tonight is Halloween and although it's a little busier than usual, the team really dropped the ball. Wouldn't pick up the phone for half an hour (hung up on me for times), as I couldn't order through the app. Went down to the shop, ordered, then waited. So many orders poured through after me and those people from big groups kept on receiving their pizzas before me (most had ordered single pizzas or even two pizzas, but I only had three). The individual checking orders out of the oven asks me about my order and surprise surprise, my order hasn't been made - someone forgot my order completely. But the thing that bothered me was that after talking to a few people who were prepping pizzas for the oven, the order checker went back to his station without confirming anything with me. I asked him for a confirmation that my pizzas were in the oven and at that point, he admitted they weren't. He was going to get the guys to prep and pop them in the oven immediately. I provided feedback that it was not great that I was ignored and not communicated with and at that point he asked me if 'i wanted a refund'. To be clear, I did not raise my voice or use inappropriate language. I only asked for communication. I highlighted that my kids were home, hungry and I required the pizzas - then he went back to work If I didn't press him on it, they wouldn't have said a word. I also waited 45 minutes for 3 basic pizzas, after trying to order for 45 minutes. (cheese, pepperoni etc) without an apology or any other sweetener. Only when I told them I'm writing my review, did I receive an apology. Pretty disappointed tonight. I get that things happen, but all I wanted was ownership of the problem, an apology and communication. A garlic bread for my time wouldn't have hurt either. Maybe the store needs to consider who they roster on for busy/special celebration days.

As I waited for my order, I observed Sonny interacting with other customers, and it was clear that his exceptional service was consistent across the board. He treated every customer with the same level of care and respect, making each person feel valued and appreciated. When my pizza was ready, Sonny presented it with a smile and even provided some extra condiments and napkins without me having to ask. His thoughtfulness and proactive approach to customer service truly set him apart. In addition to his outstanding service skills, Sonny maintained a clean and organised workspace, reflecting his commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality not only in customer interactions but also in the overall operations of the store. My experience at Domino's Cronulla, thanks to Sonny Williams, was nothing short of exceptional. His passion for his work, combined with his friendly demeanor and attention to detail, transformed a simple pizza pickup into a memorable and delightful encounter.
